Barometer Reborn has been on Google Play since October 2016. For the past months it has been taken apart and put back together, and the result is almost ready.
The new version arrives on Android on Monday, 2 November 2026.
A few hints
We will show it properly on launch day. Until then, three things worth knowing:
- It no longer needs a barometer. Until now, a phone without a pressure sensor could not run the app at all. That ends on 2 November.
- Nothing is hidden any more. Features that used to sit deep in the menus get a place of their own.
- Alerts get smarter. You decide how big a change matters, and over how long.
If you already use Barometer Reborn
The new version arrives as a normal update on Google Play. There is nothing to reinstall. The first time it starts, it moves your places, alert rules and measurement history across.
And the iPhone?
An iOS version is in preparation and will follow after the Android launch. It is not on the App Store yet.
Do not miss it
The full story goes up on this blog on 2 November. Follow along with the RSS feed, or simply keep the app installed and watch for the update.
Not using Barometer Reborn yet? It is on Google Play, and the current version updates to the new one on launch day.
